In a world where people collect pocket-size monsters (Pokémon) to do battle, a boy comes across an intelligent monster who seeks to be a detective.

In Pallet Town, Ash Ketchum’s dream of an epic Pokémon journey is about to begin! But when the day finally arrives to receive a Pokémon from local expert Professor Oak, Ash oversleeps and discovers that all of the Pokémon have already been claimed—except for a strong-willed Pikachu. Valt Aoi is a hot-blooded kid who loves to attack and wields a Beyblade named Valkyrie. His close friend Shuu Kurenai is an elite Blader who is a genius but still puts in a lot of effort, and wields the Beyblade named Spriggan.
